Class Action Transfer

This matter has been transferred to the Honorable Tiffany Chase, District Court Judge for the Parish of Orleans. As of now, all deadlines have passed for filing any additional proof of claims in this matter. The Court has ordered a review of the settlement funds in this matter and has issued new dates for the allocation of settlement funds. Those dates may be found on the left side of this page under “Important Dates.”

The deadline to supplement deficient claim forms was March 15, 2013.

The Office of the Special Master has sent letters to Class Members who submitted Claim Forms to request a payment from the class action settlements involving lead-poisoned children ("Victims") who lived, stayed, or visited at Housing Authority of New Orleans developments before February 17, 2001 and who were born after December 11, 1987. The deadline to submit claims has passed. If you submitted a claim form and you received a letter about a problem with your claim form, the deadline was March 15, 2013 to postmark any supplemental information to correct the Claim Form deficiency that was identified in the letter.
